One Senior Scientific Officer, Gr-II(Toxicology) in the Central Forensic Science laboratories under the Directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The post is reserved for OBC candidates.

Qualifications :  Essential: A. Educational: Master’s degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Pharmacology / Pharmacy / Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent.

B. Experience:  Three years’ experience of analytical methods and research in the field of Toxicology.

Desirable : Experience of working in a Forensic Science laboratory.

Duties :  To assist the Assistant Director/Dy. Director in the examination of crime exhibits in the concerned divisions and to depose expert evidence in the courts of law as and when required.  To conduct research & development and to keep liaison with other research & development organizations.  Any scientific work pertaining to the laboratory assigned by the Director / Dy. Director/Assistant Director from time- to- time in day- to- day functioning of the laboratory.

HQ :  Liable to serve in Kolkota / Chandigarh / Hyderabad with all India service liability.
