Church Park Anglo Indian Teacher Training School was established by the Irish Presentation Sisters who came to India in 1842. The school is under the Presentation Sisters, Nano Nagle is the founder of Management of the Presentation Sisters. In 1912, the sisters felt the need for trained Anglo – Indian lady teachers and hence started the teacher training school started in George Town. Later this was transferred to the Church of the park in 1919, and the current building was in use in 1925. Code of Regulations Standing recognized in Anglo-Indian schools was the Director of Education, Madras Dis Vide concerned. No. 1488/26, dated 16.04.1926. It has been brought against the Ministry of teacher education research and training (DTERT), Chennai in 1996. Past ninety years, the Social Insurance Institute is unique in Tamilnadu State has built a tradition of excellent and important to educate young women, committed, qualified and dynamic instructors.
