Recommended Books for Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT)
Authorised materials
The object of the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test is to test a candidate's ability to apply legal principles to certain areas of English law, wherever possible in a practical fashion by the use of case studies. It is not a test of mere memory. A candidate may therefore take into the examination certain authorised materials as follows:
Head I (Property) and Head II (Litigation)
Any textbook, statute, statutory instrument, code of conduct and approved study manuals. An approved study manual is one published by BPP Professional Courses or the College of Law for the purpose of preparing a candidate for the QLTT. Study notes and handouts are also permitted including specimen and past questions and answers.
Authorised materials can be highlighted, underlined, and annotated.
Head III (Professional Conduct and Accounts)
The Guide to the Professional Conduct of Solicitors; any textbook, statute, statutory instrument, code of conduct and approved study manuals.
